Iranian artist Nafir partnered with StreetArtNews for this series of limited edition artworks entitled “Emptiness Of You”. These artworks were released on October 22, Thursday 2020. It comes in 4 different editions and one special one. The artwork sells for $590 and is currently available on the StreetArtNews store.
“Emptiness Of You '' features stencil portraits on traditional Persian carpets. The map of the carpet was initially from Kashan City. Many Iranian Kashans follow a medallion-and-corner pattern. Kashan represents the highest standards and traditional production of the finest craftsmanship, and are mostly knotted from high quality wool. Also, these carpets were old and significantly damagef but was repurposed as canvas for the stencil paintings.
