David Zeggert’s work is accomplished and painterly, based in traditional techniques, it depicts both straight forward and imaginative concepts that connect. He is an Illustrator, Classical Portrait Artist and Professor of Art at an upstate New York college. He has been producing Fine Art Illustration and Oil Paintings for approximately a decade, resulting in various works being part of private and public collections, internationally. He completed his graduate work at Syracuse University and was fortunate to have the opportunity to study with Bob Dacey and Burton Silverman. For nearly 15 years, as a newsroom artist in the publishing industry, David received many awards and recognition from organizations such as the Associated Press, Syracuse Press Club and Gannet News Service. Clients include OC investment, Brundage Publishing, Pinnacle and Eagle Publications. David’s primary consideration as an artist is to create illustrations and paintings inspired and derived from the investigation of people and subjects, simultaneously never losing sight of the goal to create an image that exists as a painted image with intrigue.
